Health and wellness, sports, fitness, athletic and nutrition expert Elaine Hastings has been an expert in the health and wellness field for over 18 years. She began her career as an intern at the University of Michigan Medical Center and as president of her student Dietetic Association. Today, Elaine is a highly sought after educator, advisor, and supplement/nutritional product developer in the health and wellness field.  She is currently in the processes of authoring a book and publishing educational articles. 

 

In 2002 she founded Associates in Nutrition Therapy in Southwest, Florida, a consulting company proving service and support to businesses and individuals.

As an experienced Registered Dietician, Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist, Board Certified Sports Dietitian, and Certified Sports Nutritionist, Elaine has perfected the science of healthy living and wellness and has been trusted by high profile clients including Olympic gold medalists, Olympians worldwide and athletes in the NFL, PGA, NHL, NBA, MLB, and NCAA.  She specializes in marketing, communications, brand development, health, wellness, sports, fitness, athlete nutrition, program development, research and development with extensive knowledge in every aspect of nutrition. As such, Elaine stands as the go-to wellness expert, motivational speaker, seminar host and product researcher for numerous Fortune 500 companies, government agencies, community organizations, franchise organizations, fitness clubs, doctors’ offices, universities and schools. She has also served as Chief Scientific Officer with sports and supplement companies, where she conducted scientific research and developed ground breaking products.

 

Elaine has proven herself as an impactful and highly sought after expert in the nutrition field and as a result, has achieved the status of ISPA Diplomate, the highest achievable by invitation only. She Co-Founded GetFitLee™, a county-wide health and wellness initiative in Lee and Collier Counties, FL that proved so successful it has been adopted and used as a platform for health, wellness and fitness programs around the world. She was president of Southwest Florida Dietetic Association (SWFDA) and founded the Association in Nutrition and Sports Nutrition Authority, a consulting company proving service and support to businesses and individuals alike.

 

Elaine has utilized her exceptional writing, speaking and entrepreneurial proficiency to improve the lives of individuals around the globe. She is a featured author in Trade Publication and Journal on Sports and Ethics and has served as spokesperson, appeared in several national and syndicated TV shows, and has been interviewed and quoted for all media venues including CBS, ABC-7, WINK, NBC-2, FOX-4 News, magazines, newspapers, professional journals and radio. Her work and expertise continues to appear in many forms of multi-media.

 

Elaine has volunteered countless hours with numerous not-for-profit boards and organizations and was recently hired as an adjunct professor for the University of Florida. She looks forward to continue helping others around the world to lead happy, healthy lives.

Her personalized approach, passion and unsurpassed reputation as a nutrition/fitness expert, counselor and eating disorder advocate has placed Mrs. Hastings as a high level official within the nutrition community.

 

Elaine was inspired to lead a healthy life by her own struggles as a young model and athlete competing for a spot on the U.S. women’s gymnastics team. As that dream approached actualization, her health began to deteriorate and she realized that the unrealistic expectations she set for herself, both physically and mentally, was the culprit. She found herself confronted with life or death and in the end, her goal to achieve a picture-perfect body image stole away her dreams of becoming an Olympian. .

Elaine uses that experience today as an expert nutritionist and dietitian to fulfill her mission: To provide expert nutrition, cutting-edge research and education while promoting healthy lifestyles and enabling a lifelong goal of balanced nutrition. Whether she is working with a mom, athlete, large corporation, community or a young person struggling with an eating disorder, Elaine’s goal every day is to ensure the success, health and happiness of every client.
